On 1st April 2012 the MCI launched a Buy With Confidence Scheme covering new motorcycle, scooter and moped sales supplied by MCI members.
The primary objective of the programme is to address issues that are sometimes associated with internet purchasing. The MCI has received calls from unhappy consumers with a range of product and service issues relating to some non member suppliers.
The programme creates an additional level of comfort for customers who find it difficult to differentiate between products and brands and hopefully reduce bad customer experiences.
At the core of the programme is the MCI Code of Practice which has been revised with input from members. This sets the minimum standards that customers can expect when purchasing a Powered Two Wheeler from an MCI member and utilises the existing Conciliation and Arbitration Scheme for independent dispute resolution.
