Are you thinking about learning to ride but not sure if it is for you or where to start?
Many MCIA RIDE Industry Approved training schools offer a scheme called TryRIDE which is a taster session for people who would like to try riding a moped, scooter or motorcycle but don’t want to commit to a full day of training.
Each TryRIDE session lasts for at least 1 hour, will cost no more than £50 (the duration of the session and the cost varies by training school) and will give you the opportunity to try riding with the supervision of a qualified, experienced instructor. As with all training offered by MCIA RIDE Industry Approved training schools, TryRIDE sessions are client-centred which means they will run at a pace that suits you.
If you would like to find your nearest school that offers these taster sessions please select “TryRIDE” in the drop down filter list after entering your postcode into the search box.
Have you decided that you would like to learn to ride?
MCIA RIDE Industry Approved training schools offer all types of “pre-test training”. Any type of training that is taken before you have a full “A” class motorcycle licence is called pre-test training. (A full “A” class motorcycle licence allows you to ride any moped, scooter or motorcycle regardless of the power). MCIA RIDE Industry Approved training schools offer CBTs which is what you need if you wish to ride a moped, scooter or motorcycle up to 125cc, gear conversion courses; these are for people that have completed their CBT on an automatic bike but would like to ride a manual bike and they offer training for a full motorcycle licence.
The type of motorcycle licence you can achieve depends on your age which can seem complicated but the training school will be able to talk you through this.
If you would like to book any of these courses please enter your postcode and then use the dropdown to select ‘All Training Centres’ from the drop down list. For more information on the different training courses, click here.
