Motorcycle Live: The Curtains Fall on a Fantastic Show

Motorcycle Live: The Curtains Fall on a Fantastic Show

Motorcycle Live 2024 closed its doors at 5pm yesterday after an incredible 9 days of fun filled entertainment, new model launches and opportunities to meet your heroes.

Motorcycle Live 2024 was like no other before it, with just under 90,000 people attending the 9-day event. It was not just the place to see the latest bikes and apparel from over 50 motorcycle brands, it was a full day of entertainment - which for the first time included the enormously popular Expert Lab, where our new host Grace Webb informed the audience with excellent product insights, interviewing many engineers and product managers from several manufacturers.

The Expert Lab was partnered by Machine Shop, who throughout the week shared tips on how to carry out basic bike maintenance along with sharing knowledge on many “black art” subjects such as achieving the best setting for your bike’s suspension.

Tuesday and Thursday welcomed over 300 students from 11 colleges/universities to the event, where the goal was to show what a great industry this is to consider as a career option, alongside the benefits of becoming a new rider.  Many of the students that spent the day with us left inspired, and excited by the opportunity. Early feedback has been excellent saying students were blown away by what they saw and experienced.

Supported by the British Superbike Championship, the “BSB RiDE Sim Racing Challenge” was, as expected massively popular, seeing over 1,500 people take to the “virtual” track, pitting their skills against other competitors throughout the week. Again, another new feature of entertainment taking place at MCL 24.

The “pièce de résistance” of this year’s event was the first of its kind indoor Festival and Black Horse Festival Stage, hosted by Matt Crowhurst and James Whitham, where the crowds marvelled at the skills of the professional Trials, Stunt and Freestyle Motocross riders,  in addition to meeting many of the top riders from the British and World Superbike Championships.

If you think that was all - MCL24 topped the week off with an incredible festival night of music and entertainment taking place in the Festival Zone, featuring the Rick Parfitt Jr Band and DJ Rosie, where over 1,200 guests rocked the night away, it really was an incredible spectacle to top the week off!

Planning for MCL 25 will soon be underway where our challenge will be to continue evolving, developing and generating new ideas, with the ultimate goal of creating new audiences, riders and helping to deliver a vibrant future for the industry.

We would like to thank all the exhibitors for their support at MCL 24 and look forward to you, and many more joining us next year.
