JOURNEY TO A BRIGHTER DESTINATION
Following the successful launch of the sector Action Plan for Government and industry, we are now pleased to be publishing the ‘Journey to a Brighter Destination’.

‘The Journey’, which makes the case for motorcycling and the benefits it offers to the UK economy, the positive effect on a rider’s mental health and physical wellbeing, and the limited negative impact on the environment, will play a key role as we respond to the Government’s consultation on the phase out of non-zero emission motorcycles and scooters (L-Category), expected in the coming months.

THE ROUTE TO TOMORROW’S JOURNEYS
The future of transport, both personal and cargo, has become a major consideration for national and local governments, industry and the general public.
As congestion increases and air quality declines, one of the UK Government’s Grand Challenges is to address these problems.
With this in mind, the arrival of the MCIA’s new policy document The Route to Tomorrow’s Journeys could not be more timely. This document examines the current situation and delivers a series of rational, workable solutions that demonstrate the pivotal role the Powered Light Vehicles (PLVs), including motorcycles and scooters, could and should play.
Under the maxim of The Right Vehicle for the Right Journey, PLVs fit seamlessly into the transport mix, complementing walking, cycling and public transport and coming into their own where those options are not viable.
